Under the direction of the HR Vice President, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for implementing HCA-wide and hospital-specific HR initiatives, and for supporting the hospital’s leadership team in defining and implementing HR strategies. A trusted partner, the HRBP advises leaders on HR issues, effectively uses HR analytical data, deploys development programs, supports employee and community engagement, implements initiatives for business performance, quality and patient care, and advances HR operational excellence. Day-to-day responsibilities are varied and include, for example, handling routine Lawson transactions and trouble-shooting, managing key HR functions such as the onboarding of new hires, conducting investigations, providing employee relations advice and support, generating reports and analyzing data, training managers, and implementing new programs and initiatives.
Requirements: Bachelors degree plus minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience, including Employee Relations. HR Certification is preferred, and previous healthcare/hospital experience is a plus. Successful candidates will be HR professionals who are servant-leaders with strong communications and interpersonal skills, able to achieve results independently and as part of a team, are detail-oriented, and able to collect, analyze and effectively use data and generate reports. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office is required, with experience using Kronos, Lawson, or similar software programs preferred.

Description: Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in suburban Richmond, Virginia is seeking to fill an opening for Director of Human Resources. St. Mary’s is a 381 bed community hospital, one of 9 Bon Secours hospitals in Virginia. St. Mary’s is highly successful and financially very strong. The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for a portion of Bon Secours Virginia’s Shared Services division with total responsibility for approximately 2500 employees. The Director serves as the Strategic HR Business Partner for the CEO of St. Mary’s and a few Shared Services senior executives. The Director is supported by an HR Manager and the Bon Secours Health System’s HR Shared Services structure. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Bon Secours Virginia.
Requirements: Ideal candidates will have 7-10 years of HR Generalist experience in progressively more responsible roles in Human Resources including several years in leadership positions. Graduate level educational preparation is preferred. Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required. Certification as a senior HR professional is preferred.
